Entrepreneurial Development

Supporting Grassroots Innovation & Entrepreneurial Development

To foster the growth of local businesses and support grassroots innovation, the Union County Community Improvement Corporation and the Union County Economic Development Partnership established the Union County Small Business Program and Small Business Incubator. The program provides resources to entrepreneurs and small business owners to ensure their long-term success through workshops, resources, advocacy, and networking events. The program also serves as a liaison between the public and private sectors to support business growth and development.

The Marysville Entrepreneurial Center (MEC) serves as a Small Business Resource Center and Incubator and is located at 129 North Main Street in Marysville. The MEC is available to anyone needing help with developing their business concept, business plans, marketing techniques and business strategies. The MEC also provides office space and flexible workspace. Through partnership with the Small Business Development Center at Columbus State Community College, and TechColumbus, these programs are being provided to Union County residents free of charge.
