February is American Heart Month!
According to the 2011 Community Health Assessment, heart disease is a leading cause of death in Union County.
The following are Risk Factors for Heart Disease:
- High Cholesterol
- High Blood Pressure
- Diabetes
- Cigarette Smoking
- Obesity/Being Overweight
- Physical Inactivity
- Alcohol Use
- Poor Diet
Protect your heart by exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, and managing stress!
Look for the Union County Health Department at the Marysville Kroger on February 3rd. We’ll be providing blood pressure screenings, BMI screenings, and heart health info.
